Summary, notice description and lot information
The public procurement process initiated by Torbay Council involves the provision of 16+ supported accommodation services within a 10-mile radius of Torbay, United Kingdom. This initiative, currently at the award stage, notably focuses on aiding young individuals aged 16 to 24 years who are cared for, care experienced, homeless, or at risk of homelessness. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, underpinned by UK legislation 2023/54.
The awarded contracts have been divided into several lots, including Supported Lodgings, Semi-Independent Accommodation, and Multi-Occupancy Frameworks, covering services linked to social work with accommodation. The contracts, set to commence on 1st April 2026 and lasting until 31st March 2029, have the potential for extensions and additional spot-purchase agreements to address evolving needs. This tender presents numerous opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) specialising in social services to expand their operations in the Torbay region.
Companies with a strong background in providing or managing social work services can leverage their expertise to secure positions within the various lots. The structured nature of the procurement, involving frameworks and block contracts, offers stable business prospects. Moreover, the contractual design allows for flexibility and the possibility of capacity expansion, aligning with a company’s growth strategy and skill set.
This procurement process not only opens avenues for business growth but also contributes to societal support by enhancing the living conditions and support structures for young individuals facing challenging situations.
