Summary, notice description and lot information
Slough Borough Council is initiating an open procurement process for the provision of Accommodation-based Housing Related Support (HRS) Services in the Slough area, with a focus on Lot 1 for medium to high needs and Lot 2 for low to medium needs. The contract, valued at £1,396,800 gross, is geared towards supporting Slough residents aged 18 to 65 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to provide them with an alternative to rough sleeping. The tender process, classified under housing and social work services, is currently in the tender stage, with a submission deadline on 3 December 2025.
The services are expected to commence on 1 May 2026, for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension. Potential bidders can engage in a Supplier Engagement Event scheduled for 5 November 2026, to gain further insights. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in housing and social support services, particularly those adept in offering tailored accommodation solutions for at-risk populations.
The open procedure ensures a competitive and transparent bidding environment, offering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) the chance to contribute to social welfare while expanding their portfolio. Businesses with experience in managing complex social needs and capable of providing flexible accommodation services will find this procurement particularly well-suited to their expertise, thereby improving their market standing and expanding their impact in community-based services.
