Summary, notice description and lot information
Buckinghamshire Council has initiated an active tender process for the provision of Asylum Support Services, divided into two lots for North and South Buckinghamshire. The procurement method is an open competition, with a focus on services within the community, legal advisory and information services, and health and social work services. The tender period ends on 1st December 2025 at midday, and service commencement is planned for 1st March 2026.
With a contract that may extend for up to four years, the council seeks to mitigate the impact on its services by supporting asylum seekers and refugees via information, language support, and drop-in centres. The value for both lots combined offers a gross amount of £360,000, emphasizing spending within the designated budget caps for each region. This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for experienced service providers, particularly SMEs and VCSEs, that operate in social work, language services, or legal aid sectors.
Businesses equipped to deliver comprehensive community services can benefit from a stable, multi-year contract with opportunities for extensions. With the project underpinned by Asylum Dispersal grant funding, it enables suppliers to contribute towards significant social impacts while securing revenue over several years. Focusing on quality (60%) and price (40%) criteria, bidders must be well-positioned to deliver high-standard services, potentially increasing their market standing in public sector contracts.
