Oxfordshire County Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified providers to deliver Community based short breaks for disabled children and young people. The community short breaks provision is split into different types of activities (Lots) each lot is split geographically into Delivery Area 1, 2 and 3. Details of the delivery areas can be found in appendix 1 Service Specification within this Invitation to tender.
The core service will consist of regular sessions to support children and young people to have consistent access to Short Breaks which offer a range of creative, flexible, fun and co-designed activities in local communities for children and young people with disabilities aged 5-18 This can be a combination of sessions after school, evening, weekends and in the school and college holidays. The Council would like to achieve a wide range of services and activities across the County within the following Lots which are:
- Lot 1 After school activities.
- Lot 2 Weekend and school holidays activities,
- Lot 3 Evening activities and
- Lot 4 Activities for Autistic Children and Young People, without a learning disability.
To provide a range of creative, flexible, fun and co-designed activities in local communities for disabled children and young people aged 5-18. We are looking for activities to be run between Mon - Fri during Oxfordshire School Term Dates for 1-3 hours. These Services can be designed to include, for example, social experiences in the community; sport and physical activity; experiences based on cookery, arts, crafts, design, dance, drama, and music; outdoor pursuits; technology and gaming; life skills; and preparing for adulthood. Providers can bid to run one or more of these services in one or more of the delivery areas in Oxfordshire depending on capacity. OCC will consider proposals to deliver in other geographical areas if a justification of needs can be made. The level of provision commissioned will depend on market capacity, quality and price demonstrated. OCC may at its sole discretion exceed or exceed or reduce this level of provision.
To provide a range of creative, flexible fun and co-designed activities in local communities for disabled children and young people aged 5-18. This could include family events and include whole, half-day, and/or evening activities. Activities will run during the weekend year-round and weekdays outside of Oxfordshire Schools Term Dates. These Services can be designed to include, for example, social experiences in the community; sport and physical activity; experiences based on cookery, arts, crafts, design, dance, drama, and music; outdoor pursuits; technology and gaming; life skills; and preparing for adulthood. Providers can bid to run one or more of these services in one or more of the delivery areas in Oxfordshire depending on capacity. OCC will consider proposals to deliver in other geographical areas if a justification of needs can be made. The level of provision commissioned will depend on market capacity, quality and price demonstrated. OCC may at its sole discretion exceed or exceed or reduce this level of provision.

We are looking for activities between Mon - Fri during Oxfordshire Schools Term Dates. These Services can be designed to include, for example, social experiences in the community; sport and physical activity; experiences based on cookery, arts, crafts, design, dance, drama, and music; outdoor pursuits; technology and gaming; life skills; and preparing for adulthood. Providers can bid to run one or more of these services in one or more of the delivery areas in Oxfordshire depending on capacity. OCC will consider proposals to deliver in other geographical areas if a justification of needs can be made. The level of provision commissioned will depend on market capacity, quality and price demonstrated. OCC may at its sole discretion exceed or exceed or reduce this level of provision.

We are looking for a range of activities for after school, weekend, holidays, and evenings. These Services can be designed to include, for example, social experiences in the community; sport and physical activity; experiences based on cookery, arts, crafts, design, dance, drama, and music; outdoor pursuits; technology and gaming; life skills; and preparing for adulthood. Providers can bid to run one or more of these services in one or more of the delivery areas in Oxfordshire depending on capacity. OCC will consider proposals to deliver in other geographical areas if a justification of needs can be made. The level of provision commissioned will depend on market capacity, quality and price demonstrated. OCC may at its sole discretion exceed or exceed or reduce this level of provision.
