Encourage children with a disability to participate in mainstream activities where possible, it is recognised that there are children and families who will need more support. Even if children cannot access mainstreams activities with support it should not be a barrier to the child accessing activities which promote their wellbeing, that they enjoy taking part in and help them to achieve their potential. As well as providing a positive activity for the child, the Service is intended to offer parents and carers a short break from their caring responsibility.
