Summary, notice description and lot information
Hampshire County Council, in collaboration with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, issued a contract for Domestic Abuse Services for Victims and Survivors with the title 'Domestic Abuse Services for Victims and Survivors 2026-2033'. This procurement process falls under the services industry category, specifically focusing on social work and related services. The services will be delivered in the UK, particularly in the region of Hampshire (UKJ3).
The contracting process reached its awarding stage on 18th July 2025, with the contract commencing on 1st April 2026 and potentially extending until 2033. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, emphasizing inclusivity and a light-touch regime approach in compliance with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, ensuring support within safe accommodation. 7 million across all lots, subject to increments from additional funding sources, including government bodies and health services.
Key to this tender were the proactive efforts to secure and utilise additional funding channels, highlighting a significant financial scope and an opportunity for expanding contracted services. This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses, especially those specialising in social work, domestic abuse support, and housing services, to grow their operations by providing critical services over a potential seven-year period. With the possibility of securing additional funding, there are increasing opportunities for service enhancement and innovation, making it an attractive proposition for both large-scale service providers and smaller, specialised entities like SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs).
Firms that are adaptable and well-versed in securing governmental funding, and those with the capability to deliver specialised domestic abuse services, particularly within housing contexts, will find this contract well-aligned with their growth strategies. The awarded supplier, Southern Domestic Abuse Services, has secured engagement across lots, demonstrating precedence for large-scale providers, although there remains competitive scope for enterprises capable of meeting the tender's comprehensive criteria spanning safeguarding, trauma-informed approaches, and community engagement.
