Summary, notice description and lot information
The North Yorkshire Council has awarded a framework agreement for the provision of employee benefits, including discounts with salary sacrifice schemes. The framework, titled "Employee Benefits including Discounts with Salary Sacrifice Schemes," falls under the miscellaneous services industry category and serves public sector organisations across the UK. The procurement process, which followed an open procedure, began in June 2024, with contracts officially signed on 5th December 2024.
The framework commenced on 1st January 2025 for a duration of four years, with a maximum contract value of £100,000,000. Key dates include the tender period which ended on 23rd July 2024 and the bid opening on the same date at North Yorkshire Council offices in Northallerton, UK. This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in IT services, green transportation, office and home technology, childcare, and healthcare services.
The framework allows suppliers to provide innovative solutions across six lots, including a voluntary benefits website, green car and cycle to work schemes, home technology, childcare vouchers, and healthcare cash plans. The contract offers scope for substantial business growth, particularly for those capable of delivering high-quality and cost-effective services. Both large enterprises, like Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and SMEs, such as Vivup, are well-positioned to compete, demonstrating that the framework accommodates diverse business scales for broad participation.
