Summary, notice description and lot information
The London Borough of Bromley is inviting tenders for its "Engaging Fathers - Early Intervention Services for Parents and Their Children" initiative. This open procurement process involves delivering innovative services at six Children and Family Centres and other related venues within Bromley, UK. The goal is to engage fathers through varied activities like experiments, exploration, construction, and sports, focusing on positive father-child interactions.
The procurement is particularly targeting the health and social work services industry category. Interested bidders should note that the tender stage is active and submissions must be completed by 29th September 2025. The contract is valued at £56,000 net, with a potential gross value of £67,200, and the service is expected to start on 1st April 2026, with annual reviews and potential renewals up to 31st March 2030.
This tender represents an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) to provide specialised services that address both the early intervention and public health priorities of the local community. Businesses skilled in creating engaging, community-focused programmes that foster parental involvement and child development will find this contract aligns well with their capabilities. The council has emphasised the need for dynamic, responsive service delivery, which encourages businesses with a track record of innovative and adaptable solutions to participate in this multi-year tender opportunity.
The open competition structure ensures that those with compelling, advantageous proposals stand a strong chance of securing this contract.
It is anticipated that the Contract will commence on 01 April 2026 and be for an initial period of 1 year, with an option to extend on the same terms and conditions for up to 3 years on a 1+1+1+1 basis. The rationale for a contract award of 1+1+1+1 is due to the nature of the service; we require suppliers to be able to deliver specialised services locally across the borough and to be able to fully meet the changing needs of the early intervention and Public Health priorities and most importantly, the needs of the local community and the published priorities, and other Bromley council strategies. All provision will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure activities/services remain responsive and are continuing to meet the needs of our local community.
