The procurement process is initiated by the Derby & Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and involves a planned service contract for the care and management of adult patients with Gender Dysphoria/Gender Incongruence within primary care settings across Derby & Derbyshire. This preliminary stage is an information-gathering exercise under the Provider Selection Regime, driven by the Health Care Services Regulations 2023, aiming to gather market interest prior to any competitive tendering. The primary industry category is health services, specifically general-practitioner services, with planned service commencement by 1st October 2025 and an official notice scheduled for release on 1st September 2025.
Interested providers must register their interest by 5 pm on 7th August 2025. The procurement method is market engagement, with a planned contract spanning five years valued at £233,975. This tender offers a significant growth opportunity for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those experienced with Gender Identity Clinics and capable of delivering General Practitioner with Extended Role (GPwER) services.
Successful bidders would need proven expertise in gender dysphoria management and be able to deploy a comprehensive support service integrally linked with existing community practices.
