Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board has completed a procurement process for gastroenterology services, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The contract, titled "Gastroenterology," falls under the CPV category 85121251 for gastroenterologist services. This tender, which involved a limited procurement method without prior publication of a call for competition, was awarded on 27th January 2025 and will be active until 27th January 2026.
The services will be provided in the region of UKJ3, specifically offering a comprehensive patient pathway for elective gastroenterology, including triaging referrals, outpatient appointments, and treatment completion. This award presents a significant opportunity for growth to businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those offering gastroenterology services. Community Health and Eyecare Limited (CHEC), a large-scale provider, has been awarded this contract based on the direct award process.
Eligible businesses capable of providing such medical services or looking to partner with healthcare providers may find this tender to be an excellent opportunity to expand their operations within the NHS framework. The flexible nature of this zero-baseline contract means the overall value will depend on patient activity over the contract period, aligning with the NHS Payment Scheme tariffs.
The provider will offer a full patient pathway for elective gastroenterology from receiving and triaging referrals, through the first outpatient appointment to completion of treatment, providing gastroenterology services for patients registered to a HIOW GP or those service users for which the ICB is otherwise responsible.
