Health Checks

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees has completed the award stage of a public procurement process titled "Health Checks", under the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023. This initiative focuses on medical practice services within the UKE44 region, encompassing Huddersfield and Batley. The contract commenced on 1 July 2025 and will run until 31 March 2028, with potential extensions for up to two more years.

The contract, managed through a limited procurement method without prior publication of a call for competition, is specifically structured to leverage existing capabilities of general practitioner services, acknowledging their access to sensitive data and unique capabilities in patient follow-up based on NHS Health Check results. This tender presents significant opportunities for growth within the healthcare sector, particularly for organisations versed in handling medical practice services with existing frameworks for delivering general-practitioner services.
