Homecare Services

Leeds City Council is in the planning stage of a procurement process for city-wide homecare services. This initiative aims to provide registered homecare, sitting services, and other related community support. The procurement falls under the services category and will be conducted through a competitive flexible procedure, adhering to a "light touch" regime.

The council seeks to engage with community health and well-being providers, with an initial consultation event scheduled for 7th August 2025. Providers must register by 31st July 2025 to participate in the event. The entire procurement process is expected to focus on delivering high-quality, person-centred care to Leeds residents, starting from 5th April 2027 and running until 4th April 2032, with the potential for renewal until 2037.

All providers engaged in this contract are required to hold a CQC registered office within Leeds. This procurement presents a substantial opportunity for businesses specializing in social work services without accommodation, as it targets a service with an estimated value of £400 million. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to compete due to their suitability for this type of tender.
