Summary, notice description and lot information
Argyll and Bute Council is actively seeking providers for an Independent Advocacy Service for Adults within the Argyll and Bute area. This tender falls under social work and related services, classified under CPV code 85300000, and is currently at the tender stage with a procurement method of open procedure. The process is guided by EU legal basis CELEX number 32014L0024.
This new tender, following a cancelled award in 2025, is live as of 8th January 2026, with submissions accepted electronically via the Public Contracts Scotland website until the closing deadline of 9th February 2026. This procurement aims to deliver services to adults over 16 years in compliance with several Scottish legislative acts, with community benefits included in the requirement. This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in social work services, particularly those experienced in advocacy support under Scottish legislation like the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act and the Adults with Incapacity Act.
Businesses with capabilities in supporting self-directed social care, patient rights, and community care are well-positioned to benefit. As this is an open procedure, it provides a level playing field for a broad range of providers, encouraging participation from both established and emerging suppliers. Providing a community-focused service can also be a key value driver for businesses aiming to expand their reach and impact within the public sector.
This contract is estimated to be valued at £723,520 for a four-year period, offering substantial growth potential for successful bidders.
