NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (NICB) is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced providers for a Northamptonshire GP Out of Hours Service (OOH) to deliver a clinically safe, effective, and accessible OOH service for all patients registered with a Northamptonshire GP. NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) is acting as an agent for and on behalf of NICB and is supporting this Provider Selection Regime Competitive Process.<br/>The Service will provide access to unplanned urgent care; working in partnership with the wider urgent care system across primary, community, secondary health and social care. <br/>The Service must:<br/>* Be clinically safe<br/>* Provide value for money<br/>* Be sustainable <br/>* Make the best use of and develop the skills of the workforce<br/>* Develop local clinical engagement<br/>* Reduce unnecessary attendances to acute providers of emergency care<br/>* Work collaboratively with partner organisations<br/>* Not increase pressure on the ambulance service <br/>* Be innovative <br/>* Not increase pressure on in-hours GP services<br/>* Seek to align protocols where appropriate to do so.<br/>The contract will also include support for Protected Learning Time (PLT). The ICB permits GP Practices to close for up to 10 afternoons per calendar year to facilitate Protected Learning Time (PLT), allowing practice staff to participate in specialist, clinical, and/or mandatory training. The Provider will be responsible for ensuring that an effective service is maintained between the hours of 12:00 and 18:30 on designated PLT afternoons.<br/><br/>The contract will be for a period of 5 years and 6 months with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years, commencing 1st October 2026.<br/><br/>The maximum annual contract value is PS6.732 million per annum ex VAT.<br/><br/>Please note there is a financial threshold associated with this procurement. Any bids exceeding PS PS6.732 million per annum (ex VAT) will be excluded from evaluation and disqualified from the process. No bids over PS6.732 million per annum (ex VAT) will be accepted.
