Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board, in collaboration with the NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, is conducting a procurement process currently in the planning stage. This opportunity is for the provision of General Medical Services (GMS) at two locations: Kirkley Mill Health Centre, Lowestoft, and Nelson Medical Centre, Great Yarmouth. The industry category for this procurement is General-practitioner services, and it falls under the jurisdiction of Health Care Services in accordance with the Provider Selection Regime Notice.
The procurement process is planned to follow the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, with an important deadline for expressions of interest at mid-day on 12th September 2025. Services are set to commence on 1st October 2026, representing an exciting opportunity for prospective providers to engage early in a market testing exercise. Businesses specialising in delivering primary healthcare services, particularly those with experience in general-practitioner services, have an opportunity for strategic growth by competing in this procurement process.
The contracts offered have a substantial estimated annual value, making them appealing for established providers looking to expand their service portfolio in the East Norfolk region. Competitive enterprises with strong operational capabilities and a commitment to high-quality healthcare delivery will be well-suited to meet the project requirements. These contracts are poised to be awarded under a GMS contract in perpetuity, providing sustained business opportunities and long-term partnerships for successful bidders.
Interested parties are encouraged to register their interest via the specified eTendering system to take advantage of this market engagement exercise.
