Summary, notice description and lot information
The Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking the provision of insourced endoscopy services, particularly targeting surgical specialist services under the industry category of gastroenterology. Located in Hull, the procurement process has reached the tender stage with an open procedure, inviting bids by 20th December 2024. The contract is set to run from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026, with the option to extend for an additional three months.
The contract, valued at approximately £375,000, aims to enhance the Trust's capacity for lower gastroenterological investigations across its sites, including the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. This tender presents a significant opportunity for independent service providers, especially those with a strong track record in endoscopy services. Businesses that provide qualified consultant endoscopists with NHS experience, holding relevant qualifications and accreditations, are ideally suited to compete for this contract.
With demand-driven service needs, there is flexibility in operation times, including evenings and weekends, allowing potential contractors to offer comprehensive coverage. The tender opens pathways for collaboration and growth for service providers willing to meet the strict quality and experience requirements, thus potentially expanding their footprint in the public healthcare sector.
