Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospital Birmingham Foundation Trust are looking to develop a multi-agency collaborative to provide a Secure Patient Transport service for patients detained under the Mental Health Act sectioned and voluntary patient at risk of absconding, causing harm to themselves, causing harm to others and in the interest of safety.<br/><br/>This will be 24 hours per day, 365 day per year including Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday during the period of the contract and the service provided must be executed within 1 hour of the requested booking. Vehicles must be available day and night to provide the service to the Trusts as required as per the following:<br/><br/>- Core Hours: 07:01 to 19:00<br/>- Out of Hours: 19:01 to 07:00<br/><br/>The duration of this contract will be 3 years, plus 2 years extension option.<br/><br/>Provider (s) who express interest can access a copy of the Invitation to Tender Packs as well as the service specification on the Atamis e-Tendering Portal which can be accessed at https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome, Atamis Tender reference C405989.<br/><br/>The Trusts invite Provider(s) to register their interest and submit bids through the Atamis portal by Midnight on the 26/01/2026.<br/><br/>The route to market for this service falls in-scope of the Provider Selection Regime competitive process.<br/><br/>Any questions asked by Provider(s) must be submitted thorough the Atamis portal only and the Trust will publish anonymised answers through the same. The closing date for questions is 08/01/2026 by 17:00<br/><br/>All information provided to the Provider(s) by BSOL Procurement shall be regarded as<br/>confidential and used only to prepare a response to this tender.
