Residential Care Framework (Adults)

Southampton City Council, a sub-central government public authority, is in the planning stage of a procurement process for a "Residential Care Framework (Adults)" contract. This initiative focuses on procuring residential care services for adults including older persons and younger individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs, potentially through a framework agreement or dynamic purchasing system. The framework is intended to run from 1st November 2026 to 31st October 2031 and is valued at an estimated £600 million per annum, excluding VAT.

The procurement will follow an open procedure under the "light touch" regime as per the Procurement Act 2023, with the anticipated supplier selection process commencing on or after 1st August 2026. The services will be delivered in Southampton, located in the region UKJ32, within the health and social work services sector.
