Summary, notice description and lot information
Clackmannanshire Council is undertaking the "School Age Childcare Early Adopting Communities Project", which falls under the services category and is classified as child daycare services. The procurement process focuses on expanding community-based childcare systems in Alloa, South and East Clackmannanshire. It was initiated as a limited procurement method due to additional funding received from the Scottish Government, involving selected providers directly without a competitive call for competition.
50. This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses involved in childcare and community services, particularly those equipped to deliver tailored programmes that support child development and family needs in underserved areas. Enterprises with expertise in community engagement and childcare, especially those that can align their services with the strategic goals outlined within Scotland's child poverty reduction plans, would be well-suited to engage in such initiatives.
Establishing partnerships with local stakeholders, such as family support services and educational institutions, can enhance a business's position to successfully compete and thrive within this and similar projects.
The Grantee take a place-based approach by working with local stakeholders including, but not limited to, childcare/child activity providers and local employability and family support services: Clackmannanshire Sport and Leisure, Community House Alloa, Hawkhill Community Association, Connect Alloa, Play Alloa, Kidz-World, Alva Play Pals, Clackmannan Development Trust, The Gate - Alloa, Clackmannanshire Economic Development Trust, Stramash, THRIVE Outdoors, Inspiring Scotland, Little Stars, Flying Start Nursery, Glenview Nursery, Action for Children, Homestart, NHS Forth Valley, SCMA, Promoting a More Inclusive Society (PAMIS), Ochil Youth Community Initiative (OYCI) and Safe Families and Citizen's Advice Bureau.
