Summary, notice description and lot information
Worcestershire County Council is planning a procurement process titled "Children with Disabilities Overnight Short Breaks," within the services industry category. This tender involves the establishment of an open framework of providers for overnight short breaks for children with disabilities, structured into two lots: Overnight Fostering short breaks and Overnight Residential short breaks. Located in Worcester, UK, the process is currently at the planning stage, with a framework agreement foreseen.
The call for proposals is anticipated to open annually to include new suppliers, starting from 1st November 2026 and running until 31st October 2034. The gross value of the tender is £4,000,000, with key communication details expected by 1st April 2026. This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in social work services with accommodation, particularly those catering to children with disabilities.
Organisations fitting into the framework, including SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSE), can greatly benefit from the potential inclusion. By participating, businesses can expand their service offerings, tap into new market segments, and secure long-term engagement with Worcestershire County Council. The competitive call-off process under the framework agreement ensures a dynamic procurement environment, ideal for providers capable of meeting specific short break placement requirements.
