Summary, notice description and lot information
Durham County Council is initiating a preliminary market engagement for the re-procurement of community-based services aimed at individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and/or autism. This procurement process is in the planning stage, focusing on social services within the services industry category. The initiative is based in Durham, UK, with a delivery region identified as UKC14.
Key dates include the completion of a market engagement questionnaire by 17 October 2026. The procurement aims to establish a framework agreement, and SMEs and VCSEs are encouraged to participate, as two support sessions will be held in early November to aid these entities in overcoming participation barriers. This tender represents a significant opportunity for service providers in the social services sector, particularly those offering supported living services.
Businesses with capabilities in delivering care and support within a community framework, especially those experienced in supported tenancy arrangements, are well-suited to compete. The procurement process is designed with an emphasis on inclusivity and social value, aiming to foster a diverse supplier base. This opens avenues for growth for SMEs and VCSEs by potentially joining the council's framework of organisations, ultimately contributing to the development of comprehensive, community-based support services.
