Summary, notice description and lot information
NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board has initiated a procurement process for Talking Therapies, a community-based health service aimed at improving access to psychological therapies for common mental health issues in the Surrey region (UKJ26). The procurement is currently in the award stage under a limited method without prior publication of a call for competition, in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. An intention to award notice has been published with a standstill period ending on 26 September 2025.
The contracting process began on 15 September 2025, with We Are With You identified as the intended provider. The service targets adults over 17 registered within Surrey ICBs, barring NE Hampshire & Farnham Place. This follows strategic priorities outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan and other key national frameworks.
The Talking Therapies tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those offering psychological interventions like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and counselling. Companies adept at delivering flexible, evidence-based mental health support can thrive, especially if they align services with national health guidelines and show capacity for innovation and collaboration. The procurement process opens doors for businesses looking to expand within the public health sector by providing a range of therapeutic services and contributing to wider social value through service sustainability, accessibility, and addressing health inequalities.
