Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process for the "Tier 3 Weight Management Tender," led by NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board, has unfortunately been abandoned as of 6th August 2025. This decision follows the NHS's recent re-configuration announcements affecting regional Integrated Care Boards. The service, planned to operate in Norfolk and Waveney, was categorised under health services, specifically catering to varied health needs through weight management programmes.
This open procedure intended to cover a period of 3 years with an optional extension of 2 years. Although initially active with a tender phase originally planned to end on 23rd June 2025, subsequent developments led to the cancellation of the award process. This tender would have created substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those experienced in weight management programmes.
Companies focusing on healthcare service delivery, particularly services incorporating behavioural and psychological support, would have been well-positioned to compete. Opportunities also existed for collaboration with local GP practices and other health services to identify and support users. While this specific tender has been halted, understanding the requirements and strategic goals shared here could inform future bidding opportunities, especially for businesses looking to partner in public health initiatives within the specified regions of Norfolk and Waveney.
