Summary, notice description and lot information
Dundee City Council is initiating an open tender process titled "Care and Support Framework for Adults in Dundee" under the services category, with a significant contract value of £75,000,000. This procurement aims to establish a framework for service providers able to deliver care and support services in the Dundee City area. Relevant parties can submit their tenders electronically by 7th August 2025.
The tender process is in the active stage, with the award period beginning on 11th August 2025. This procurement is carried out by Dundee City Council on behalf of the Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership, focusing on general public services to be executed within the specified locality. This tender represents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in healthcare and social services, particularly those proficient in providing care at home, housing support, and respite at home services.
Organisations with qualifications recognised by the Care Inspectorate and those capable of fulfilling specific technical service requirements will be well-suited for this opportunity. The procurement process is open, welcoming a diverse range of providers to join the framework, thus offering the potential for significant business growth and establishment within the Dundee region. The framework also includes options for renewal and periodic re-openings for new providers, ensuring continued business prospects over its four-year duration.
Dundee City Council invites Tender submissions from Service Providers to join a Framework for the provision of care and support services. It is proceeding as a single stage competition open to all interested parties meeting the Council's minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Invitation to Tender. The Framework is for the provision of the following three service types:- care at home; housing support; and respite at home. The profile of supported persons is expected to be people who have a level of frailty, which may be due to age, physical disability, ill-health or other diagnosed condition such as dementia. The Framework is unlikely to be used for people with more specialist needs, such as learning disabilities, mental health, autism and substance recovery services. Requests to support these types of need will be very limited on this Framework.
