Summary, notice description and lot information
South Ayrshire Council has completed the procurement process for the "CE-73-21 - Re-Opening of Flexible Framework for Provision of Care at Home Services," which seeks to enhance the existing framework with new entrants as of August 2023. This tender falls under the 'Health and Social Work Services' category (CPV 85000000) and pertains to the provision of care at home services across various locations, including Ayr, Troon, Prestwick, Girvan, and Maybole, all within the region of South Ayrshire, Scotland. The framework was initially established on 1 April 2022 and re-opened in June 2023, and it allows for ongoing submissions under the Light Touch Regime due to the contract value exceeding £663,540.
Key dates and deadlines included an extension for submission until 31 July 2023, following an initial closing date in July 2023. This tender provides significant opportunities for growth for businesses within the care services sector, particularly those experienced in providing care at home services. Firms that meet the framework's requirement for Care Inspectorate Registration and can offer high-quality care services are well-positioned to benefit.
SMEs, including those with an established presence in care provision or seeking to expand within South Ayrshire, will find this framework particularly rewarding due to the structured yet flexible nature of the contract. Active involvement in this framework can lead to substantial business growth given the framework's estimated value and the long-term duration of the contract period. The inclusion of electronic ordering and payment methods facilitates efficient administrative processes, making it easier for businesses to participate and comply with contract terms.
