The Caerphilly County Borough Council is currently inviting tenders for the provision of childcare services at two locations: Trinant and Ty Coch. The Council is seeking qualified childcare providers who are registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales for the development of high-quality early years education and Flying Start provisions.

CCBC Early Years has a childcare facility located in the heart of the Upper Rhymney community, close to the Upper Rhymney Primary School. We are looking for a provider to occupy the setting to develop a high-quality Flying Start Provision alongside Early Years Education provision. This provision will be a part time morning provision. This facility could be potentially registered for up to 20 children to support the delivery of Flying Start childcare and Early Years education places to the children and families of the local area. The new provider will need to support the delivery of funded childcare places under Flying Start and Early Years Education places as well as be open to fee paying parents. The provider will also be required to support Enhanced provision where appropriate. The provision consists of 2 large childcare rooms (joined) with toilets, plus an office, outdoor area and kitchen area. Full details are in the ITT We require: * As a priority morning Early Years Education places for Rising 3's in the Spring and Summer Terms only. * A morning playgroup in particular to support delivery of the Flying Start Programme for 2-year-olds as per the Welsh Government Flying Start Guidelines and, We are inviting applications from childcare providers who are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to develop this provision. We are open to existing providers who wish to develop new satellite provisions, new providers and to childminders who wish to register as a group-based provision for 2-year-olds and upwards. It is anticipated that this provision will potentially be registered ready for Flying Start delivery September 2025 and ready for delivery of Early Years Education Places by January 2026. A Licence to Occupy Agreement will be drawn up between CCBC and the successful Childcare provider. Annex 1 The Facility: The childcare will be delivered from the Childcare facility which is located in 100 Ty Coch House, Upper Rhymney, Tredegar, NP22 5DJ. It should be noted that CCBC Flying Start operates in the facility in the afternoons. Morning sessions will run before 11.20 and hand over to CCBC staff will take place at 11.50 to allow for set up of the afternoon session. Note: Early Years Education sessions are 2 hours per day and Flying Start Sessions are 2.5 hours per day. All furnishings and equipment for delivery of childcare, including play equipment, play consumables, health and safety materials relating to play and activities and a first aid kit etc. is included. The furnishings remain the property of Caerphilly Early Years and cannot be removed or sold. An Itinerary of all items included will be provided. The Childcare Provider is responsible for complying with all relevant legislation and standards. Facilities offered: * Bespoke Childcare facility consisting of two Childcare rooms that are set up to deliver Playgroup, * Access to a secure outdoors area * Secure access to the site * Toilet facilities and nappy changing facilities for younger children * Kitchen area for snack making and safe storage of kitchen equipment and consumables. Kitchen area will need to be rated by environmental health. * A setting which meets Inclusion requirements * Storage * Furnishings including Community Playthings furniture (adaptable for different ages) * Adult / disabled toilets * A shared Office space. The Childcare Provider is responsible for complying with all relevant legislation and standards.
