Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board is in the process of awarding contracts for General Dental Services and Unscheduled (Urgent Treatment) for the areas of Holt, Wells-next-the-Sea, and Thetford. Current plans involve awarding two separate lots to Damira Dental Studios Ltd under the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023. The procurement is nearing the award stage, with services expected to commence on 1st April 2026, and it adheres to an open procurement process.
The total annual contract values amount to £641,534 for Lot 1 (Holt and Wells-next-the-Sea) and £455,758 for Lot 2 (Thetford). The procurement specifically focuses on dental-practice services, and the resulting contracts will be held in perpetuity with no specified end date. This tender offers extensive opportunities for growth among businesses that are equipped to deliver healthcare services, particularly those proficient in dental-practice services.
It will be suitable for established dental service providers that possess the capacity to adapt to NHS clinical standards and care protocols. Given that the selected provider needs to manage premises and ensure accessibility, businesses with existing infrastructure or those capable of swiftly arranging appropriate facilities will find this opportunity appealing. The contracts call for integration with NHS systems, thus favouring businesses that can effectively collaborate with system partners.
This is a lucrative opportunity for businesses looking to expand their reach in the healthcare sector, especially in underserved coastal areas.
