Summary, notice description and lot information
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) has successfully completed a competitive open procedure tender titled "HCT - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessment" under legal basis CELEX:32014L0024, focused on hospital and related services. The procurement aimed to address the backlog of children awaiting autism diagnostic assessments and support the implementation of a revised diagnostic pathway. The contract was awarded to The Owl Centre Limited, a small to medium-sized enterprise based in Pembrokeshire, and is set to commence in September 2025 for an initial one-year term with options for two additional one-year extensions.
The procurement covered the UKH region, with essential deadlines including a bid submission process that concluded on 20 March 2025. Key requirements specified robust contract management and a multidisciplinary team inclusive of Consultant Paediatricians, emphasising a blended approach to assessments. This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those with established expertise in paediatric assessments and CQC registration.
The contract allows health service providers to collaborate with a reputable NHS Trust, enhancing their portfolio and expanding into the region with a governmental client. Companies adept in managing blended consultation models, including both face-to-face and virtual settings, are well-positioned to benefit from this initiative, potentially leading to long-term partnerships and increased market presence in health support services for children and young people with ASD.
