Homelessness Support Service

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council has recently completed the procurement process for its 'Homelessness Support Service' project, aimed at aiding homeless individuals with housing and employment. Categorised under health and social work services, the opportunity was located in the Yorkshire and the Humber region. The procurement process, which followed the 'Other' procurement method, reached the award stage, with the contract period extending from 3rd June 2024 to 2nd June 2026.

The awarded supplier, BEAM UP LTD, will receive a contract valued at £120,000 to implement this pilot project in support of 15 residents currently in temporary accommodation, facilitating their entry into Beam's Jobs & Homes programme. This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses, particularly those in the health and social work sectors, to enter or expand within the public sector.
