Summary, notice description and lot information
The Northamptonshire Children's Trust is currently managing procurement through its Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to support the provision of homes for children and young people in care, including independent fostering arrangements and children's homes. This process falls under the health and social work services category, classified under CPV code 85000000. The procurement covers the Northamptonshire region, and it is at the 'Award' stage as of 8th October 2025.
The initiative began on 1st February 2024, and will initially run until 31st March 2028, with the possibility of extension until 31st March 2031. The procurement adopts the Light Touch Regime as per the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and includes various categories and lots tailored to different needs, such as emergency or specialist care placements. This tender opens diverse opportunities for businesses specialising in the delivery of social care services, particularly those with expertise in fostering and residential care for children.
Organisations can bid for multiple lots and categories, enabling them to expand their service offerings and enhance their presence in the regional social care sector. Companies like The Twilight Care Group Limited, already an active supplier, illustrate the type of business optimally positioned to benefit from these structured service categories and expanded demand for tailored care solutions in the UKF region.
