Mid Ulster District Council is seeking tenders for a contractor to develop and deliver a PEACEPLUS funded Environment and Biodiversity programme for Mid Ulster District Council. The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This is a dedicated cross community Environment and Biodiversity programme. This programme will bring communities together on the shared theme of the protection of our environment. The programme will support people/ groups to: * Community led transformation through local environmental reimaging improvements and practical interventions. * Build capacity of people/ groups interested in horticulture, environment, climate change and contributing to local environmental improvements. * Have greater understanding of diversity. * Transfer knowledge between groups. * Improve relationships. * Increase volunteering. * A total of 225 people will be engaged over a 3 year period, with a minimum of 20 community and voluntary groups involved. The programme will be delivered through a model of engaging people supporting them to contribute to a more cohesive and prosperous society.
