Summary, notice description and lot information
The recent procurement process conducted by Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust pertains to the provision of Neurophysiological Services, a critical part of health services. Governed by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, this contract bypasses Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and involves a competitive process. The procurement utilises an open procedure with the standstill period beginning as of 28th April 2025.
The services are primarily located in various UK regions including UKD, with a potential contract duration of three years, extendable by another three. The goal is to provide a range of outpatient and inpatient neurophysiology tests, totalling an approximate lifetime contract value of £603,150. The award remains in the intention phase, just before formal confirmation.
The awarded contract, to be lively, begins on 25th April 2025, designed to support Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust in expanding their healthcare service capabilities. This tender represents a significant opportunity for healthcare service providers, particularly those with expertise in neurophysiology. Companies like MediServices Healthcare Ltd, identified as a small to medium-sized enterprise, are well-suited to engage with such opportunities due to their size and agile operations.
Given the requirement for maintaining high-quality standards and competitive pricing—outlined as 60% for quality and 40% for cost—organisations with robust quality management and cost-effective delivery models will be in a strong position to compete. Businesses specialising in medical diagnostics and possessing a skilled workforce in neurophysiology will find this contract advantageous for business growth, thanks in part to the steady demand for the clinical tests and the extended regional reach of the contract. This procurement process offers a strategic partnership with a prominent NHS foundation trust, opening new avenues for sustained business development in the healthcare sector.
