Transitional Care and Nursing Beds in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire County Council has completed the procurement of transitional care and nursing beds within Lincolnshire to address the growing demand for elderly care facilities. The procurement process, initiated under an open procedure, was managed using the "light touch" regime, ensuring compliance with financial and market constraints while addressing the needs of older persons. The contract, valued at £1,000,000, started on 26th August 2025 and will provide services till 31st July 2026.

The purpose of the contract is to provide flexible and fixed capacity for transitional and nursing care, with a focus on supporting individuals in returning home after a period of assessment. This procurement stage has successfully progressed to the award phase as of 24th September 2025, with multiple suppliers engaged to execute the service across the UKF30 region. This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in health and social work services, particularly those specialising in elder care.
