Lincolnshire County Council has completed the procurement of transitional care and nursing beds within Lincolnshire to address the growing demand for elderly care facilities. The contract, valued at £1,000,000, started on 26th August 2025 and will provide services till 31st July 2026.
The purpose of the contract is to provide flexible and fixed capacity for transitional and nursing care, with a focus on supporting individuals in returning home after a period of assessment. This procurement stage has successfully progressed to the award phase as of 24th September 2025, with multiple suppliers engaged to execute the service across the UKF30 region. Transitional and Nursing Beds will provide various levels of support to Older Persons who require a period of further assessment to determine their longer-term needs with the focus being on returning home.
This will be achieved in partnership between Council and the Provider. The service will provide early intervention, assessment, support and care planning for the Individual and will work with the Individual and the Care Home staff to help achieve their identified goals and outcomes.
