Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has finalised the awarding of contracts for "AQP Domiciliary Care Services for Adults, Children & Young People in Northamptonshire". The procurement process under the open procedure focused on the service category of health services in the Northamptonshire region, particularly in the UKF24 area. The process, completed as of 19th August 2025, saw the awarding of 46 contracts across two lots designed to service adults and children with continuing healthcare needs.
The contracts provide options to extend for an additional two years beyond their current terms, starting from 15th April 2025. This procurement provides substantial opportunities for growth for businesses specialising in domiciliary care services, both for adults and children. Organisations with capabilities in personal, nursing, and social care, including domestic tasks, medication assistance, and complex clinical interventions, will find this engagement fruitful.
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) form a significant portion of suppliers, benefiting from their flexibility and local presence. The open procurement method ensures an inclusive bidding environment, encouraging a wide range of qualified providers to offer their expertise and expand their service footprints in the healthcare sector. This tender particularly suits those looking to establish or enhance their market position within Northamptonshire's healthcare services.
36 providers have been accredited onto the Any Qualified Provider (AQP) list for Lot 1 - Domiciliary Care and Support for Adults. Lot 1 supports domiciliary care services for Adults aged 18 and over with continuing healthcare needs and who have been assessed as eligible to receive continuing healthcare.
10 providers have been accredited to Lot 2 - Domiciliary Care and Support for Children and Young People. Lot 2 supports domiciliary care services for CYP aged 0-18. Care and support needs will be identified and commissioned as a Care Package, and the Provider will be expected to meet each child or young person's care needs.
