Fife Council's Childcare Services Team currently operates three dedicated out-of-school clubs providing school-aged childcare for children and young people with complex additional support needs, based in Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and Dunfermline. These services cater to individuals from Primary 1 through to 18 years of age. The clubs are open Monday to Friday from 14:45 to 18:00 during term time, and from 08:30 to 17:00 during school holidays and in-service days. These services are designed to support families by enabling access to employment, training, and further education opportunities. All three clubs are registered with and regulated by the Care Inspectorate, with each service approved to support between 8 and 10 young people. Budget includes staffing costs for the Childcare Manager and teams who provide one-to-one care, with additional staff allocated for support. Children and young people attending these services often require a broad range of health and medical support. This includes, but is not limited to, personal and intimate care, moving and handling, gastrostomy care, administration of emergency and routine medication, and suctioning procedures. Fife Council's Childcare Services Team is seeking to gauge future interest in a possible future tendering opportunity, to put in place a contract to deliver this service, and to obtain information from the market to help inform any future service specification etc.. Fife Council's Childcare Services Team invites potential providers to complete the Request for Information form attached to this PIN, and to submit it via email to katy.hope@fife.gov.uk by 16/02/26.
