Summary, notice description and lot information
The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is currently engaged in planning a procurement process entitled "Bradford District Wide Housing Related Support Service and Short-term Accommodation for Rough Sleepers." This initiative falls under the health and social work services category and is set to be implemented across the UKE41 region, which includes Bradford. The procurement, identified by tender ID 104247, is at the planning stage with a market engagement event scheduled virtually on Teams for 19th November 2025 from 14:00 to 16:00.
Key stakeholders from the sector are invited to participate, with critical dates including a milestone due for 1st March 2026, leading up to the commencement of the contract period on 1st October 2026 and concluding on 30th September 2031. This procurement method reflects an open tendering process to promote innovative, flexible service models and enhance collaborative approaches. This tender represents significant opportunities for businesses operating within the housing support sector, particularly those adept at providing services for rough sleepers.
It is highly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) due to its focus on flexible and innovative solutions tailored to community needs. Businesses that can offer expertise in partnership working and co-production, creating services in collaboration with those who deliver and utilise them, will be especially well-positioned to compete in this process. Engaging in this procurement could facilitate business expansion through long-term involvement in public sector contracts, fostering growth and development within the community support services industry.
