Summary of the contracting process

Herefordshire Council is set to commence a procurement process aimed at establishing a framework for Home Care Services within Herefordshire. The focus is on engaging suppliers to deliver vital health and social work services, ensuring residents can maintain independence and safety in their homes. The process is currently in its planning stages, with an online Market Engagement event scheduled for 27 January 2026.

This initiative is classified under the 'services' category, falling within the scope of the light-touch regime and is above threshold. Potential suppliers should note the key deadline for expressing interest is 23 January 2026, and participation requires prior registration with the Supplying the Southwest Portal. This procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services.

It is particularly suited for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand their footprint in the public sector by tapping into Herefordshire's market. Engaging in this tender allows businesses to forge critical relationships with the Herefordshire Council and expand service delivery within the locality. Businesses that provide innovative and enabling home care solutions are encouraged to participate, as the framework is designed to foster care models that enhance users' independence and quality of life.
