Summary, notice description and lot information
The Department for Education is engaging in a public procurement process titled "Care Leaver Covenant 2023," part of the health and social work services industry (CPV: 85000000, 85300000). This procurement aims to support care leavers by providing employment opportunities and various supports to promote independent living. 50 awarded to Spectra First Ltd as of 15th August 2023.
The procurement is conducted as an open procedure under the legal basis CELEX 32014L0024. The primary location of services is the UK, and the procurement involves specific criteria focused on quality, social value, and price. This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses, notably SMEs, to engage in impactful social work projects.
Enterprises specializing in social services, employment support, and training would find this tender particularly beneficial. By participating, businesses can showcase their commitment to social value and corporate responsibility, potentially expanding their market standing and service portfolio. The involvement of esteemed national employers and a robust support platform highlights the potential for collaborative growth and meaningful contributions to societal welfare.
The CLC is the leading platform for care leavers to access employment opportunities at the forefront of industry and other support to help them live independently. Covenant signatories, now approaching 400, include world famous national employers which are providing life-changing opportunities through high quality jobs and other pledges of support. The CLC platform is becoming the unique place for care leavers to go to access a wide range of support beyond what local authorities might provide. The Care Leaver Covenant (CLC) was launched in October 2018. It was designed to recognise that while local authorities have statutory duties for supporting care leavers, there is a role for wider society too. The rationale for the CLC is therefore that other public, private and voluntary sector organisations can make a valuable contribution in helping care leavers to thrive and reach their potential.
