CCS028 Therapeutic Assessment to Support Education and Health Care Plan Delivery

Derbyshire County Council, in collaboration with Derby City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, and Nottingham City Council, has completed a public procurement process aimed at securing therapeutic assessment services to support Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) delivery. The contract, valued at £2,400,000, falls under the Health and Social Work Services category and encompasses four lots: Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Therapy, and Physiotherapy. These services will be provided within the regional cluster of authorities known as D2N2 in England.

The procurement followed an open procedure with the tender period having ended on 5th June 2025, and the contract being awarded on 17th July 2025. The service delivery started on 18th August 2025 and is scheduled to conclude on 17th September 2026. This tender framework presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly SMEs and VCSEs, within the health and social services sector to expand their market presence and enhance their service offerings.
