Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) has issued a Prior Information Notice to seek initial market engagement and feedback for the future provision of a Community Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Service. This procurement process, currently in the planning stage, falls under the Health services industry category and will operate in the UKG23 and UKG24 regions. 87m annually, is set to expire in 2025.
Interested providers are invited to respond to the notice via the Atamis e-sourcing portal, with expressions of interest due by 12:00 on Monday, 24 February 2025. This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for businesses specialising in healthcare services. Providers with expertise in delivering community ENT services, diagnostic procedures, and patient follow-up care would be well-suited to compete.
The NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Procurement Unit, acting on behalf of the ICB, encourages engagement to help shape the future commissioning model. The procurement process underscores the importance of transparency and compliance with the Provider Selection Regime regulations, offering a clear framework for potential suppliers to engage and potentially secure future contracts.
The aim of the service is to provide a consultant led, community Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service to diagnose and treat a range of ENT conditions and manage relevant follow-up activity within the service before final discharge back to the patient's own GP, or onward referral to secondary care and audiology services where necessary. A further aim is to provide patients with access to diagnostics and treatment and providing a 'one-stop' service, where appropriate, with the overall aim of providing a timely assessment of the needs of a patient presenting with an ENT condition who would otherwise present in a secondary care service. Additional information: At this stage this is an engagement exercise. This engagement exercise will be operated via electronic means using the internet. Details will be made available via documentation and information released on the Atamis portal.
