Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board has successfully completed the awarding stage for a Community End of Life Care contract, specifically the Lymphoedema Service, located in the Dudley borough (UKG). This procurement falls under the Health Services industry category with a CPV classification of 85100000 and follows the regulations of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) 2023. The contract, valued at £458,100, officially starts on 1st April 2024 and will run until 31st March 2025.
The process utilised a limited procurement method, described as an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition, and the project was approved by the ICB Contracts Team and Lead Commissioner without any conflicts of interest. Businesses capable of providing holistic, disease-specific care management services, particularly for conditions such as Palliative Lymphoedema, Secondary/Primary Lymphoedema, Chronic Oedema, and Lipidoedema, can find growth opportunities in this tender. The contract includes training sessions for community staff and support for district nursing teams, ensuring ongoing integration and compliance with specialist treatment standards.
SMEs like Lymphcare UK CIC, which was awarded the contract, are well-suited to compete in such tenders due to their ability to provide specialised, integrated, and continuous care services.
