Summary, notice description and lot information
The Northern Health and Social Care Trust is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process, focusing on health and social work services in Northern Ireland. The initiative is presented as an Early Market Engagement, specifically targeting the development of Learning Disability Supported Living Accommodation. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) aims to assess both the current and future market capacities for supporting a service user with complex behaviours.
Interested parties can engage with the process until the deadline at 3:00 pm on 22 October 2025. The location of interest encompasses any area within Northern Ireland, and the activity falls under the main procurement category of services. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those experienced in providing tailored support for individuals with learning disabilities.
Companies with a strong staffing structure capable of delivering one-to-one support during awake hours 7 days a week will find this engagement particularly suitable. Although this is not a formal call for tender, it allows organisations to position themselves favourably for any future procurement exercises, demonstrating their capability to meet strategic requirements set by the NHSCT. This planned engagement could be a major step for businesses looking to expand their footprint within the public healthcare sector in Northern Ireland.
This is a PIN by the NHSCT for an Early Market Engagement (NOT a Call for Tender) to ascertain current capacity in the market AND potential future capacity for the provision of Learning Disability Supported Living Accommodation for a complex service user who presents with challenging behaviour. Care to be provided with anticipated 1:1 staff support during waken hours of 9.00 am to 9.00 pm, 7 days per week over 365/366 days per annum. Accommodation in any area across Northern Ireland. Additional information: This is not a Call for Tender and there is no guarantee any procurement process will be run. Any interest shown by Providers will be further explored but this does not constitute a commitment to progress in a procurement exercise. Failure to show interest does not restrict providers from participating in any future procurement exercise held by NHSCT. This notice has been placed to alert the Sector of a specific requirement. Any future procurement exercise will be conducted in accordance with the information contained in any final published tender documentation.
