Summary, notice description and lot information
The public procurement process for the Education Inclusion Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) service, led by Bath and North East Somerset Council, falls under the health and social work services industry category. This service aims to enhance the capabilities of education professionals in handling speech, language, and communication needs. The contract, awarded under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) using a direct award process, spans from 1 May 2025 to 31 August 2029, with a contract value of £780,292.
The procurement stage noted in the document is a tender update, indicating that the contract has already been formally awarded to HCRG Care Services Ltd. The procurement was executed without a prior call for competition, focusing on supporting the inclusion agenda in educational settings within the UKK1 region. This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the speech and language therapy domain, particularly those that can deliver innovative, high-quality services with a focus on early intervention and preventative support.
Companies with robust staff structures, capable of maintaining services amidst operational disruptions, and those adept at training and collaborating with local education and health services, would find this opportunity conducive to business growth. Moreover, organisations that align with the established criteria such as social value, improving access, and reducing health inequalities will be well-positioned to engage effectively and meet the demands of this contract.
Contract Title: Education Inclusion Speech and Language Therapy Service (SALT) The primary aim of the Education Inclusion Speech and Language Therapy Service is to upskill education professionals to provide early intervention and preventative support so that all settings are able to deliver the inclusion agenda.
