Floating Housing Related Support for Adults with Mental Ill Health

South Tyneside Borough Council has recently concluded the procurement process for a contract titled "Floating Housing Related Support for Adults with Mental Ill Health." Categorised under health and social work services, this contract addresses the urgent need to provide housing support to nine adults affected by mental ill health in the South Tyneside region. This procurement followed a limited competition under the Procurement Act 2023, particularly the light touch regime, due to the incumbent provider's termination effective 30 September 2025.

The process has moved from tendering to award, with key commencement expected on 1 October 2025 and completion by 31 March 2027. The awarded contract was signed on 22 August 2025. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, especially those focused on mental health support.
