The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has confirmed the award of a contract for a clinical psychologist role under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). The contract, in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, is part of the initiative to embed a clinical psychologist within their Housing First support team. The project is classified under the health and social work services category, focusing on a psychologically informed and trauma-informed programme to support both residents and staff.
The procurement process utilised a direct award approach, awarding the contract to East London Foundation Trust, the only suitable NHS Trust operating in the area. The agreement was signed on 8th July 2025, with the contract valued at £191,836. This procurement process presents an exclusive opportunity for specialised service providers in the health sector, though it specifies East London Foundation Trust as the only provider capable of fulfilling the contract conditions.
