Home Care Framework
Overview
Summary, notice description and lot information
Bracknell Forest Borough Council is in the planning stage for a new procurement process titled "Home Care Framework." This framework aims to establish domiciliary care services for adults and older people within the Bracknell Forest area, replacing the existing framework that will expire in 2027. The process, classified under the health and social work services industry category, is set within the UKJ11 region and involves establishing a framework agreement that aligns with the special light-touch regime.
Potential participants should prepare for future notices, with significant milestones including the procurement planning notice published on 22 April 2025 and the future publication date set for 1 October 2026. The framework is expected to have a contract period starting from 1 October 2027 and concluding on 30 September 2031, with an estimated value of £25,000,000. This procurement process presents significant growth opportunities for businesses, particularly those operating within the health and social care sector.
SME businesses are especially encouraged to participate, as the tender seeks service providers who can meet the framework's requirements for new placement services. Successful applicants not only gain access to new clients but also have the potential to transition existing service arrangements under the new framework terms, pending final decisions by the council. Businesses capable of delivering quality domiciliary care and adapting to the evolving care requirements will find this an excellent opportunity to expand their service offerings within the Bracknell Forest region.
Bracknell Forest Council will be creating a new framework for domiciliary care for adults and older people in the Bracknell Forest geographical area, to replace the existing framework which will cease in 2027. Currently the new Framework will be for new placements only - all existing care packages will remain with their existing care providers unless removed for other reasons. However, if a provider on the current Home Care Framework is successful in joining the new Framework, their care packages will be novated to the new Framework terms and conditions.
Interested parties should note though that this is under consideration and the disposition of existing packages in respect of the new framework may be subject to change prior to tender publication and may form part of pre-market engagement and consultation, should the Council choose to conduct preliminary market engagement.
