Kirklees Council has completed the procurement process for the "Kirklees Families Together Area Partnerships (Family Hubs)" initiative, focusing on health and social work services. The contract has been awarded under an open procedure below the threshold. This project aims to support the development, coordination, and delivery of local area services in the Yorkshire and the Humber region.
The service is divided into four geographical Lots: Huddersfield, Dewsbury & Mirfield, Batley & Spenborough, and Kirklees Rural, with a total fixed price contract of £25,000 per Lot per annum. The contract period starts on 1st April 2025 and ends on 31st March 2026, with an extension option of up to 31st March 2028. This tender offers significant opportunities for Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations, especially those with experience in providing services to children, young people, and families.
Successful organisations will oversee and enrich local community services, fostering strong partnerships with anchor organisations and other VCSE providers. The fixed annual budget per Lot ensures predictable funding for service delivery, making this an excellent growth opportunity for eligible SMEs and VCSEs with a deep understanding of their respective communities and the capability to deliver impactful social services.
Quotations are invited by the Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") from Suppliers with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for a VCSE provider who will oversee the development, coordination and delivery of the local area offer. Kirklees Council want to build on the work of the current Families Together area partnerships who work with voluntary and community sector providers including anchor organisations. Please see attached Specification (Appendix 1).
This contract is anticipated to commence on 1st April 2025 - 31st March 2026, with the option to extend for a further two (2) x twelve (12) months to 31st March 2028 subject to available funding. This is a fixed price contract for the Services to be awarded. The budget is twenty-five thousand (PS25,000) per Lot per annum.
It is an essential requirement that you are a Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector organisation and can provide examples of direct work with children, young people, and families and an in- depth knowledge of the community you are applying for. In order to meet its requirements, the Council has divided the Service into 4 Lots for the Geographical Areas see below: Lot Area 1 Huddersfield 2 Dewsbury & Mirfield 3 Batley & Spenborough 4 Kirklees Rural (Colne & Holme Valleys, Denby Dale & Kirkburton)
