Summary, notice description and lot information
The Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust is currently involved in an awarding process under the Provider Selection Regime for a contract titled "Mental Health Inpatient Beds". This procurement, aligned with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, focuses on health services within Birmingham, UK. As part of this contract, which is divided into multiple lots including a PICU framework and an acute framework, providers must submit any representations by 3rd July 2025 via the Atamis portal.
While this process is at the award stage with active intentions noted since 31st May 2025, the formal award has yet to occur as the standstill period is ongoing. This procurement offers a promising opportunity for businesses in the health services industry, especially those experienced in providing mental health inpatient care. Companies with existing facilities, ideally in the West Midlands, are well-positioned to compete due to the need for services closer to home.
Participation would be beneficial for both large-scale and SME suppliers, as evidenced by the diverse suppliers like Priory Group and Inmind Healthcare Group already involved in this bidding process, highlighting a competitive landscape conducive to service innovation and collaboration.
