Somerset Council is planning a procurement process for the Minor Works in Somerset DPS, focusing on health and social work services. This process, currently in the planning stage, involves minor home adaptations under £1,000 as defined by the Care Act 2014. To guide potential participants, a Market Engagement event will be held online via Microsoft Teams on 12th February 2025 at 11am.
uk by 12:00pm on 10th February 2025. This event will help shape the future contracting process slated to begin in May 2025, ensuring it is compliant with legislation, meets eligible users' needs, and offers best value. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in home adaptations, such as small-scale plumbing, electrical works, and installation of rails and steps.
Businesses with expertise in health and social work services would be particularly well-suited to compete, especially those capable of delivering services within Somerset. Participation in the Market Engagement event allows businesses to influence future procurement options and build relationships with Somerset Council, thereby positioning themselves for success in the forthcoming formal procurement processes.
