Dumfries and Galloway Councils Employability Partnership required a suitably identified provider to deliver a MAPPA service in Dumfries and Galloway. The Lead Practitioner will complete registration forms, action plans, barrier removal, signpost, liaise with DWP and Justice Social Work. They will undertake all the employment preparation activities, C.V., relevance of convictions, job interview skills, disclosure letter and how best to disclose to prospective employers. Training will also be undertaken including CSCS, First Aid, manual Handling, PAT Testing and Food Hygiene. The Employer Liaison Practitioner will discuss suitable careers, appropriate work placement and volunteer opportunities. They will also start to build relationships with local employers around employing people with a sexual conviction. Participants will: - successfully complete programme of support - complete disclosure letter and understand their relevance of convictions. - gain accredited qualifications. -undertake voluntary or work placement when appropriate. - gain employment/self-employment.
